Technical Resources & News

Presentation by Mike Ungerman http://musings-from-mike.blogspot.com

I have accumulated a number of technical resources over the years that I use to keep up with the state of tech as well as use to look up or find information for problems that come up with my computer, cell phone, or other electronic devices. This weekend, I'm presenting a short discussion at the Central Florida Computer Society in Orlando, Fl on this subject (http://www.cfcs.org), and I'm documenting the links to everything here.

This is by no means a complete reference. There are thousands of sites out there doing similar work. I may add to this from time to time; those reading this on my blog are welcome to post their favorite tech sites in the comments.

Podcasts (audio & video)

Many 'gurus' maintain a web site as well as a series of technical blogs (like this one at http://musingsfrommike.info ) Some also have periodic audio and video podcasts which update or are documented on their blogs. Many have Facebook fan pages and Twitter accounts. Their sites can provide periodic updates by email and 'rss' feeds which can be seen in a reader such as Google's Reader. Many of the podcasts are available through iTunes by subscription if you have an iOS device. Here are several that I follow:

TWIT with Leo Laporte & Friends (a network of many (!) audio & video tech podcasts) http://twit.tv (one of the most extensive networks of regular podcasting.)
