Pay Cash for Online Purchases

I saw on the news last night that Wal-Mart is adding an option on their website when checking out. You now can use cash to pay for your online purchase.

During checkout, you can select the “cash” option and your shipping preference. You have 48 hours to take the printed order confirmation to the cash register at a Wal-Mart store. Once the order is paid, you can either arrange to have the items shipped to a store for free or to home or another address for a fee.

People who are afraid of using credit cards on line, or who do not have a credit card can now purchase on Wal-Mart’s website. I read in one article that only about 15 percent of Wal-Mart’s transactions are paid using a credit card. Having a cash choice for on-line purchases probably fits a large number of Wal-Mart customers.

Like the company or not, they know how to attract customers.
