The past day's events have been shattering. My brother had been in New York over the last weekend, but is safely back home in Florida. I hope all of you are safe, as well as
your friends and family. I know that there are many sites devoted to the tragedies in New York and Washington, but I will not be listing them. Be sure to fly your flags and give blood, if you can.
On many
newscasts I have seen correspondents mention that they didn't know what to say to their children when they get home. One of my newsletters, Site of the Day, suggested a brief site which focuses on helping the most
vulnerable of society's members - the children. This single page offers concise and thoughtful advice for parents. The site, "Helping Your Child Deal With a Terrorist Tragedy," is located at http://kidshealth.org/misc_pages/P_squarebanner.html. Even if you don't have kids, take a look at the site. There are some suggestions that might
help you cope.
