Welcome to the September 12, 2001 issue of Hewie's Favorites News & Reviews. Be sure to visit Hewie's Favorites at http://www.hewie.net/. Please send this newsletter to your friends and ask them to subscribe at the site. I want to double my subscribers, so I need each of you to get at least 1 friend or relative to subscribe.

The past day's events have been shattering. My brother had been in New York over the last weekend, but is safely back home in Florida. I hope all of you are safe, as well as your friends and family. I know that there are many sites devoted to the tragedies in New York and Washington, but I will not be listing them. Be sure to fly your flags and give blood, if you can.

On many newscasts I have seen correspondents mention that they didn't know what to say to their children when they get home. One of my newsletters, Site of the Day, suggested a brief site which focuses on helping the most vulnerable of society's members - the children. This single page offers concise and thoughtful advice for parents. The site, "Helping Your Child Deal With a Terrorist Tragedy," is located at http://kidshealth.org/misc_pages/P_squarebanner.html. Even if you don't have kids, take a look at the site. There are some suggestions that might help you cope.

Each Newsletter usually lists the new sites added to Hewie's Favorites since the previous issue. They are deleted in this archive. The latest additions are always found at http://www.hewie.net/23.html.

Please share these newsletters with your friends. To subscribe, send a blank message to: hewie_favorites-subscribe@yahoogroups.com or sign up at the Web site at http://www.hewie.net .
